The pictorial blog, "
Our Beautiful World", has chosen the word "October" for the theme this week. Although Fall/Autumn is the season, and a beautiful season.... October is also the month for one of my favorite holidays when I was a kid....
Halloween!! I doubt if there is a soul out there that is not familiar with the history and traditions of Halloween, but for those who need a little briefing, especially how Halloween is celebrated in the USA, I have linked to a site that will tell you all you ever wanted to know!!
Dressing up was a blast and still is...so I am showing pictures of my kids, grandkids, and me in various costumes!

ReplyDeleteWow, great collection of Halloween photos from over the years. I think the gorilla photo is my favorite, just because it's so unexpected. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the history lesson, I read and then asked my husband, and you were right, he doesn't know. LOL!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the halloween costumes, old ones and new ones, what a fun post! Thanks for sharing it with us at Our Beautiful World!
LOL, I have to smile at Kirsty's note :). I do know little about Halloween even when I did live in Colorado for sometime. I just love the fun part about it and not the gory, scary-corn-field story of it :). Must be fun dressing up over the years, and seeing how this event has evolved. Thank you for the link, I love it. And, thank you for shring this fun post with us at Our Beautiful World!
