While I was working on my tile for this week, the Dallas/Fort Worth area was being pummeled by terrific storms! I know the National News covered some of the freaky things that were happening throughout and I hope that none of my friends' homes were harmed! We live Southwest of Fort Worth so, although we got rain, we were spared the devastation of the tornadoes!
The Challenge this week is from JJ LaBarbera...chosen by the Diva to use her zentangle for challenge #65. Here is my tile and the directions to make the main tangle:

How to Make "Huggy Bears" |
I used to live in tornado alley...now I live in the Rocky mountain west..... my children miss the storms, though frightening.... especially when we found out about Joplin, 30 short miles from our old home, there was something beautiful about the storm...I see it in your tile!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is beautiful! It is reminiscent of a storm! I have two sons who live in the Joshua area, so we were in touch. Glad everyone is fine!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad that you are safe. I grew up in Memphis and remember always keeping an eye to the sky during storms this time of year. Great tile!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! Great ideas in your tile:)
ReplyDeleteI love the threads that run behind and below Huggy Bear! Great tile. (and it's always interesting to hear what is going on in people's lives as they tangle... thanks and I'm glad you are safe)
ReplyDeleteI like how you have the threads around the Huggy Bear and then then flow down and end up with the dots. Very nice tile.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are safe! I love your tile and your interpretation of Huggy Bear.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Huggy Bear the pimp on Starsky and Hutch?
ReplyDeleteGreat tile and glad everyone is okay.
so glad to hear that you are safe and sound. it was quite startling to see the news coverage of the dallas area as it was being blown about by those huge tornados. sometimes i think i might like to live someplace warmer but i'm pretty sure that this would scare the you know what right out of me. i'm much too wimpy for tornado watches~!
ReplyDeleteyour zen tangle is wonderful and thank you for sharing the steps on how to do this one.
