Week #14 Challenge: I Walk the Line: Southwest ZIA |
The ramblings of a Creative Crone! I consider myself to be the Grandma Moses of the Fiber Arts World as I came to the art late in life. My blog will consist of my art; art of others; an occasional book review because when not creating, I am reading; perhaps an enlightening discussion on a favorite quote...and positive discussions of politics/world affairs only!

A pretty Mexican tile!
ReplyDeleteVery nice - love the detail and symmetry
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And before I read the text I thought 'aztec' or something similar. You captured the Indian look well.
ReplyDeleteHi Jay - you asked about my shading - I use what amounts to a golf pencil and just blend it in. Don't really know what I'm doing, just experiment a lot so when it turns out well it's more luck than by design. Glad you like it.
ReplyDeleteI can really see the Acoma, Laguna, etc. tribal influences in your design. Absolutely love it. Central and northern New Mexico are favorite destinations for us. I hear Taos calling me!
ReplyDeleteNice tangle. I love the southwest influence.
